Back & Neck Care is OPEN. If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, stay
home. We are following best practices as outlined by the CDC, state,
county health depts. In order to remain open and prevent the spread, we
are taking extra time in between appointments to sanitize rooms and
equipment as well as practicing social distancing in the lobby.
During this uncertain time, our doctors and staff are here to help as
much as we can by helping those in acute pain and keeping them out of
the Emergency Department so that there's more room for those affected by
Covid-19.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE AND HEALTHY PHYSICALLY AND
ECONOMICALLY?
Scheduling an extra 10 minutes between patient visits to allow for
thorough anti-microbial wipe downs of all contact surfaces including
door handles, benches, chairs.
Not treating patients with fever, or symptoms associated with flu or
Covid-19. If you are experiencing a dry, unproductive cough, runny nose,

* Severe low back pain represents 3.2% of emergency department (ED)
visits. Of those ED visits, more than 60% involve sciatica. Anything we
can do to keep those patients out of the ED, and to reduce their
likelihood of contracting Covid-19 and help them with their pain is
worthwhile.
* The #1 cause of visits to primary care doctors is...a runny nose.
The #2 cause of visits in primary care is...low back pain. We are not
treating Covid-19 cases, but our office can provide care for those back
pain patients and keep them from overwhelming primary care offices
already busy managing Covid-19.
* Motor vehicle accidents commonly result in a worried patient
presenting to the ED for evaluation and referral for Xray or MRI to rule
out major injury. Those conditions can be well managed in our office,
and if Xrays are indicated, we are equipped to take that imaging in
office.
